A day trip to Balik Pulau
Sometime last year, my aunt, cousin, Dad and I visited a typical farm in Balik Pulau with hens laying eggs, ducks, geese, goats and even a Rambutan and Durian orchard! What an exciting day it was!
15 Bangkok Lane in Pulau Tikus, Penang, Malaysia is one of 41 heritage homes built in 1928 by Cheah Leong Keah. Born in Swatow, China, he travelled to Hong Kong then to Penang and began by making and repairing horse carriages, then later evolved into one of the pioneers of the motor industry. A quiet philanthropist, CLK was a forward-thinking visionary who left a legacy to be fulfilled.
